+ Ryoji steps in front of Minato and Minako in the void/moon where they’re fighting Nyx
+ He explains to them that he doesn’t really have much time left anyway and he wants to protect them
+ He turns to stone and becomes doorknob-tan
+ Except then he breaks and becomes fleshy again
+ He looks up and sees Minato and Minako in his place
+ Cue gross sobbing

December and January:

+ Ryoji feeling a tugging and pulling
+ He remembers what happened on Moonlight Bridge
+ Fight with Aigis
+ Ryoji standing next to himself watching him/Death explain about Nyx coming
+ December 31st talk with Minato and Minako; many tears
+ January; huddling behind store heaters for warmth
+ Body changing into that of the Nyx Avatar; twisting and changing colors and feathers
+ January 27th or so; body cracks and deposits Ryoji unconscious in the snow; Avatar flies off without him

Hospital:

+ Tiny Ryoji in white pajamas; hooked up to machines
+ Horrible bloody gash across his neck
+ Sitting up and talking to Minato and Minako
+ Minako gives him the yellow scarf
+ A caseworker telling them that they’ll be put in foster care
+ The three of them hugging in Ryoji’s bed until they fall asleep
+ Dark shadows in the corner scaring Ryoji
+ Stuttery and anxious, learning to talk again
